Alexei Yurchak is a Professor in the Anthropology Department at UC Berkeley. He’s the author of Everything Was Forever, Until It Was No More: The Last Soviet Generation and many other articles on the intersections of ideology, language, aesthetics and culture. He’s currently finishing up a book on the materiality and meaning of Vladimir Lenin’s body.
